Transforming Your Relationships With Money!
Money is an uncomfortable subject for most of us. Many people are more comfortable talking about sex than their bank balance. Money can be a source of great freedom, joy and creativity in our lives, or it can bring frustration, pain or misery, depending on our relationship with it. Our fears, doubts, hopes, expectations and desires are interwoven into our experience with money.
Money touches almost every aspect of our lives: home, work, leisure time, creative activities, and spiritual pursuits. It plays a role in all of our relationships –spouse, children, extended families, co-workers, bosses, ex’s, etc.
Money has been known to tear families apart or bring communities of people together. Everything we do and dream of, every decision we make, every feeling we have about the quality of our lives is intertwined with the possibilities and pitfalls bound up in the energy of money.
Financial troubles is often quoted as a leading cause of divorce (following infidelity). Conflicts stemming from different beliefs and desires about money make it one of the top triggering topics in relationship. Everything from different spending habits and financial goals, to one partner making more money than the other, can strain a relationship to the breaking point.
Money need not be a source of conflict and breakdown for us, or our relationships. Whether we have more than enough or not nearly enough, we can use our relationship with money to help us move beyond living lives full of fear, scarcity, worry and doubt, to living lives full of love, awe, power and purpose.
What if we could transform our relationships to money? What if we could harness the energy of money to help us step into our Full Potential possibilities? What if we could boldly face our beliefs and habits around money, release unconscious blocks and stories, and use lessons gleaned to enrich our lives and up-level our intimate relationships? What if money, taken out of the shadows, could bring forth our greatest strengths and remarkable qualities? What if money could actually help us wake up to who we really are and to what matters most?

We have been entrepreneurs and business owners for decades, and we have taken care of everything associated with managing money in a business, such as bookkeeping, accounting and payroll; sales and marketing, just to name a few.
We know intimately what it’s like to make good money and have much more than we need, as well as having almost nothing and living with the fear of "how are we going to make it?”
In 2008, when the real estate market collapsed, we had five properties – including our own home – go into foreclosure or short sale. The real estate financial business we were part of crashed with the rest of the market. On top of that, we lost $180,000 of retirement savings in a Ponzi scheme. In our attempts to make it through, we built up $200,000 in credit card debt and were looking at bankruptcy. It was a scary time!
But instead of bankruptcy, we made a resounding commitment to “not go down!” We decided to not file bankruptcy, to pay off our debts, to fight to keep our home and turn our financial life back around. And we did!
In March of 2010, we offered the first Give Yourself to Love workshop for 55 people at a mere $47 per person. Hardly made a dime after expenses were paid:-) But it got us started. Within eight months we had a six-figure business and never looked back. We paid off all our debt and succeeded in winning back our home. All of it while staying in love, working as partners, and using the fears and challenges to connect us deeper to each other, our values and our mission.
Now, we are well on our way to once again save for retirement while living a life we love!
